Managing director Kevin Reay said: “IWL was only founded in 2010, has continued to build its customer base among the leading companies in the worldwide offshore sector, we continue to work with our group partners and specialist suppliers to provide key solutions to the demands placed upon us by our customers.”
“Our commitment to quality is paramount and remains our focus as it is critical when building a business in this marketplace.
Impress North East Limited continues to provide active guidance and support to the group members, as well as experiencing another remarkably successful year of growth itself, securing contracts for the offshore markets from Azerbaijan to UK, to an increasing client portfolio, including multination oil and gas as well as UK utility companies.
The Impress pledge to quality is key. “Delighting our customers is our core aim,” said managing director George Peel.
Impress continues to invest in the growth of the group, via investment in machinery, software and training of its multi-disciplined workforce. It is developing apprenticeship programmes to ensure our young people are equipped with the skills to succeed.
Planned group investment, in excess of 1m, will include a significant expansion in the group’s laser cutting facility Express Lasers. This group facility is operated by directors Peter Douglass and Lee Heslop.
Said Lee: “We are very excited with the future prospects, expansion plans and continued development of the company. We have inspected some of Trumpf’s latest laser technology and are looking forward to increasing our capacity with another three machines over the next 12 to 18 months.”
The expansion plans are to include the provision of an additional 20,000 sq ft of factory space in addition to the 40,000 sq ft Blaydon site they already occupy. This will involve a year of challenges, which create achievements and future success for the group.
Impress is also looking for additional CNC Millers and Turners. “We are always looking for new blood to accommodate our expansion plans and add experience to the overall knowledge of the group,” said Mr Peel.
“Developing our services, operational improvements and continued strong investment for the year ahead, should keep us at the forefront in the marketplace, keeping our businesses in a strong position,” he added.
